Custom software for the lab

Software that speaks lab.

We build lab data automation, in silico research tools, lab operations apps and AI for scientific documents for Biotech and Life Science teams. Founded by a microbiologist, so we understand the experiment before we write the code.

  • You own the code
  • Fixed price per stage
  • We sign your NDA

The bottleneck

Science is hard enough.
The spreadsheets shouldn't be.

In most labs the slowest step isn't the assay. It's everything around it: moving data by hand, re-running someone else's script, hunting for the right tube.

Copy, paste, repeat

Instrument exports typed into Excel, then into the ELN.

Every transfer costs time and invites a transcription error that nobody catches until the analysis looks wrong.

Bus factor of one

Analysis scripts that only one person can run.

When the postdoc who wrote them moves on, the pipeline moves on with them.

Where is box 47?

Samples tracked in a spreadsheet nobody trusts.

Freezer maps, aliquots and chain of custody in a file that is out of date the moment it's saved.

Almost fits

Software built for someone else's lab.

So your team works around the tool instead of the tool working for your team.

Why FairIntellect

A microbiologist who writes the code.

Most software teams need weeks to learn what a Ct value is, why a plate map matters, or what a contaminated control does to a week of work. We don't.

FairIntellect Technologies was founded by a microbiologist who builds software. The first meeting is about your workflow, not a biology lesson, and the tools we deliver fit the way your bench actually runs.

  • No translation layer. The person scoping your tool understands the experiment behind it.
  • Science checked, not guessed. Units, controls, replicates and edge cases handled the way a scientist expects them to be.
  • Fast, and built to last. Working software early, tested and documented so your team can own it.

What we build

Four kinds of software. One goal: more time for science.

01

Lab data automation

Every instrument export picked up, checked and filed in the right place, without anyone copying cells between spreadsheets.

  • Plate reader results straight into your ELN
  • qPCR runs checked for efficiency, R² and no-template controls
  • Sequencing runs filed by project, automatically

02

In silico research tools

Custom bioinformatics, from raw reads to answers: pipelines and analysis apps built around your data and your questions.

  • Sequencing and microbial genomics pipelines
  • Primer, guide and construct design tools
  • Analysis apps scientists run without a terminal
In silico research tools

03

Lab operations apps

Samples, freezers, reagents and studies tracked in one place your whole team trusts, not in a shared spreadsheet.

  • Sample tracking with barcode labels
  • Freezer maps and inventory alerts
  • Study and project dashboards
Lab operations apps

04

AI for scientific documents

Literature, reports and SOPs searched, summarized and drafted with AI, each answer linked to the passage it came from so your scientists can check it.

  • Literature triage with citations
  • Data pulled from CRO reports and PDFs
  • First drafts of reports from your data
AI for scientific documents

In silico research tools

From raw reads to answers, custom-built.

Sequencing pipelines, microbial genomics, protein and structure workflows, and design tools, built around your data and your questions and wrapped in apps your scientists can run without a terminal.

Design of Experiments

Find the optimum that one factor at a time misses.

Test several factors at once, in a planned pattern, and see how they interact. We plan the design with you, get it ready for your bench, and turn your results into answers for the next experiment.

  • DoE sprint. One campaign, designed and analyzed with you.
  • DoE pipeline. The loop from design to liquid handler to report, built once and owned by you.
Fig. 4. Temperature and glucose for an illustrative production strain. One factor at a time (10 runs) stops at 76% of the best titer; a central composite design (13 runs, after a 20-run screen) puts the optimum at 35.1 °C and 17.7 g/L, at 99% of the best titer. Simulated data.

Every tool we build starts with one question: what actually happens at the bench?

How we work

Small, working steps. No black boxes.

  1. 01

    Workflow call

Thirty minutes, free. We map one workflow: where the data starts, where it has to end up, and who loses time in between.

    30 min · free

  2. 02

    Written proposal

Scope, timeline and a fixed price for the first stage, in writing, before you commit to anything.

    Fixed price

  3. 03

    Build in increments

A working version early, then improvements, each tested on your real files and checked by your scientists.

    You approve each stage

  4. 04

    Handover and support

Code, documentation and training. Run it yourselves, with us on hand as your workflow changes.

    You own the code

Track record

Automation that pays for itself.

Before we focused on labs, we delivered AI and automation for growing businesses. The same engineering now goes into tools for the lab.

300+

successful AI implementations across growing businesses.

$50k+

average annual savings in operational costs.

  • You own the code

Source code, documentation and the IP we create for you are yours once each stage is paid. No lock-in, no license to renew.

  • Your data stays yours

Tools run in your environment wherever possible, and we develop with sample or anonymized data whenever we can.

  • Fixed price per stage

Agreed in writing before work starts. The first call and the proposal cost nothing.

Questions

What labs ask us first.

Straight answers about ownership, data and cost.

All questions

Do you only work with microbiology labs?

No. Microbiology is where our founder comes from, and it shows in how we work with any lab: we know what a run, a plate map and a failed control look like.

We build for Life Science teams across molecular and cell biology, genomics, diagnostics, bioprocess and assay development.

Who owns the code?

You do. Once each stage is paid, the source code, the documentation and the IP created for you in it are yours, and that is written into the agreement.

Open-source components keep their own licenses. We don't resell a tool built for one client to another.

Where does our data live?

In your environment wherever possible: your cloud account, your servers, your ELN.

We build and test with sample or anonymized data when we can, and we only touch production data with your permission and for as long as the work requires.

What does a project cost?

It depends on scope, so we price each stage as a fixed amount, agreed in writing before work starts. The first call and the written proposal are free.

Most teams start with one focused tool and grow from there once it has proven itself.

Next step

Which step in your lab still runs on copy-paste?

Tell us in a 30-minute call. You'll leave with a clear next step, whether or not we end up working together.
